sympathies. I was amazingly lucky to pick up a small group of friends at uni who are the same kind of socially inept as I am, and I've held on to them as hard as possible ever since. And my tiny bit of the current job is like that -- we have a statistically unlikely number of autistic offspring for it to be random chance, which means that all those co-workers make sense. (unlike the last job, where I go so sick of being told that my input wasn't wanted for this bit of whatever that I shifted my working schedule to not work on meeting days)
